天使投資人、YouTube共同創辦人 陳士駿
經過種種歷練后，2019年我決定搬到中國臺灣。盡管在美國生活了很長時間，但總有一天要回臺灣的心意從未改變。這里永遠是我的故鄉，我一直希望為她的未來做出貢獻。
臺灣在我生命中一直扮演著重要角色。我出生于這里，8歲移居美國，童年時期在美國中西部的芝加哥附近度過，直到1999年移居舊金山灣區加入新創公司PayPal。接下來的20年里，我的生活點點滴滴都離不開硅谷，包括聯合創辦多家公司、擔任天使投資人、為新創公司提供建議，以及在董事會任職。在此期間，我成為YouTube的共同創辦人。
回臺不久后，我開始探索和了解臺灣的創業生態。臺灣和硅谷有許多顯著差異，有好的，也有壞的。其間我遇到了Sunny，立刻有一種親如手足的感覺。他有種鼓舞人心的力量，這是因為他全心全意關注臺灣的長遠發展，同時挽起袖子克服眼前所有困難。臺灣不缺有天賦、有潛力的人才。硅谷的成功并不神奇，臺灣也有能力創造下一波影響未來的科技潮。

In 2019,after these experiences,I decided to move to Taiwan.In spite of having spent the greater part of my life in the US,my mind never wavered from wishing to return to Taiwan one day.Taiwan will forever be my home and I've always wished to contribute to its future.
Taiwan has and continues to play a significant role in my life.Born in Taiwan,I moved to the United States at the young age of 8.I spent my childhood in the US Midwest,near Chicago,before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area to join the startup,PayPal,in 1999.For the next 20 years,my life was filled with all aspects of Silicon Valley ranging from co-founding multiple companies,angel investing,advising startups,and serving on boards.During this period was when I co-founded YouTube.
Soon after arriving,I started exploring and learning about the entrepreneurial landscape in Taiwan.There are many distinctive differences—some beneficial and some detrimental—between Taiwan and Silicon Valley.During this period was when I met Sunny;I immediately felt a kindred connection with him.He was an inspiration in that his heart was decisively focused on the long-term vision for Taiwan while his hands were focused on all the short-term challenges that needed to be overcome.Taiwan is lacking in neither natural talent nor potential.There is no magic in Silicon Valley;Taiwan is just as capable in creating the next wave of global icons in technology.
Through concrete and continuous results,Sunny has been able to demonstrate his personal leadership and business abilities.More importantly,it is his leadership at Smart Capital,a highly connected network of entrepreneurs,that lays down the groundwork to bridge the talent pool in Taiwan with the world.As with all startup ventures,the future is never guaranteed.However,without the proactive,forward-looking guidance of individuals like Sunny,the journey will never begin.For any entrepreneur around the world,Taiwan is a thrilling place to be right now!
