Lesson 24　but on the contrary　和……相反

句型“but on the contrary”屬于對照比較句型，表示兩事物對照對比的結(jié)果，標(biāo)準(zhǔn)形式是“句子A，+but on the contrary，+句子B”。翻譯為“與……相反”“相反地”“反之”。

Tips

本句型中的“but on the contrary”是“相反”的意思，而“to the contrary”的意思是“反對……”。與“but on the contrary”結(jié)構(gòu)相似的短語還有：in contrast with, in opposition to　等，都有“與……相反”的意思。
