波斯數學家、天文學家、哲學家、詩人，在三次方程式和歷法領域成就杰出，創作了一千多首“魯拜”，即波斯的四行詩，19世紀英國詩人愛德華·菲茨杰拉德將其中百余首譯為英語，結集為《魯拜集》。

又譯費氏結樓，英國作家、詩人，畢業于劍橋大學三一學院，由于家族富有，一生過著隱居的鄉紳生活，以翻譯《魯拜集》而聞名于世。

1928年生于廣西南寧。于1953年獲得美國麻省理工學院物理博士學位。物理著作除學術論文外，有《統計力學》及《量子場論》等英文專著多種。人文方面著作有《易經》英譯本、《魯拜集》中譯本，及詩集《滄江集》。

畫家、設計師，生于法國，定居英國，為雜志、書籍繪制了大量插畫，設計過郵票。他為圖書繪制的插畫多以禮品書形式出版，代表作品包括《一千零一夜》《安徒生童話》《睡美人和其他童話故事》《魯拜集》等。

英國漫畫藝術家，擅長名人肖像畫，以簡單筆觸還原人物神情，曾長期為英國著名漫畫雜志《笨拙》繪制電影漫畫。1947年出版的《魯拜集》由他繪制插圖，評論界認為該作品代表了他繪畫藝術的巔峰。
