句型“I prefer……to……”是一種表示主觀意愿選擇的句型。本句型的標準形式是“主語+prefer+名詞/動名詞A+to+名詞/動名詞B”，表示寧取A而不要B，用介詞“to”來連接但不能用“than”，翻譯為“我喜歡……甚于……”“我選擇……而放棄……”。
