廚房中的家具

armoire 大衣櫥指比較大的壁柜、櫥柜或裝飾柜 armoire 本來是指放武器的柜子，現在也用來指放廚具、衣服等的大柜子。

buffet 餐具架 “自助餐”的英文表達就是這個單詞。

credenza 餐具廚；書柜 一般指沒有腿的櫥柜。

cabinet 陳列柜 廚房里的cabinet一般用來陳列價格高昂的瓷器（china）或是銀制餐具（silverware），所以“陳列柜”又叫做china cabinet 或china closet。

選購家具必備表達 精華 Expressions

Q: Do you sell beds? 你們這里賣床嗎？

用“Do you sell…?”表示“這里賣…嗎？”，是比較直接的提問方式。

A: Yes, we have king-sized and queen-sized beds. 賣，我們這里有特大號的和大號的床。

Yes, we have a large selection. 賣，我們的床有非常多的款式。

“have a large selection”表示“選擇的范圍很廣”，即“可供選擇的款式很多”的意思。此外，要知道，床的尺寸從single、full、queen、king 是依次變大的。Q: I’m looking for a 3-piece bedroom collection. 我想買三件套臥室家具。

用“I’m looking for…”表示自己想要買某樣東西。“三件套臥室家具”用collection來表達，collection包括床、床頭柜和抽屜式柜子等。

A: We don’t have 3-piece collections, but we have 5-piece collections.

我們沒有三件套組合家具，但是我們有五件套組合家具。

組合家具按照件數的不同有不同的類型，比如5-piece collection 是五件套組合家具，7-piece collection 是七件套組合家具。

Q: What is this cabinet made (out) of? 這個陳列柜是什么材質的？

“用…制造”可以用be made out of…來表達。如果該短語用介詞of就表示“物理性的變化”，用from則表示“化學性的變化”。如：Butter and cheese are made from milk（黃油和奶酪是用牛奶做成的。）

A: It’s made (out) of solid wood. 它是實木的。

It’s 100% pine. 它是完全由實木做的。

It’s made out of MDF and veneer. 它是由MDF 和刨花板制作而成的。

MDF 是medium density fi breboard 的首字母縮寫，意為“中密度纖維板”，是一種比較常用的板材。

Q: Does delivery cost extra? 要另外算運費嗎？

有些店本身不提供送貨服務，所以事先一定要問：Do/Canyou deliver?（你們送貨嗎？）

A: Yes, we charge $50 for delivery. 對，我們收取50美元的運費。

No, delivery is free with all purchases. 不，所有商品免運費。

Q: Where would you like us to place this sofa? 您希望我們把這套沙發放在哪里？

沙發也可以用couch來表示。類似的表達方式還有“Where would you like us to put the sofa?”和“Where do you want the sofa?”

Just leave it here. I’ll move it later. 就把它放在這里吧，我等會兒再搬。
