【英文】The death penalty shall not be imposed on any person on the basis of consensual sexual activity among persons who are over the age of consent or on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

【譯文】不應對超過合法年齡的人因兩相情愿的性行為或由于性傾向或性別認同而處以死刑。

【解釋】age of consent 意為“性行為法定年齡”（即法定的同意發生性行為的年齡，如結婚或非婚性行為。）。類似的還有age of majority以及age of reason。前者可譯為“法定年齡”（具有簽訂合同、選舉等公民權利），后者可譯為“行為辨別年齡”（具有辨別是非、因而在法律上侵權的能力）。
