Yeah，when I'm teaching Chinese students，they'll often say，“Wow! It's raining cats and dogs outside.” And it really does sound like I was talking to my grandparents.

Usually young people do not say“raining cats and dogs” anymore. It sounds really old fashioned. What we do say is“It's pouring.”“pour”means“倒”“倒給你”，so it's almost like God is pouring water down on us.

I also just wanna add that for sure this is for north America，so Canada and the United States. Maybe in Britain they still use this expression. I'm not sure，but in north America，it's very old fashioned.

在北美地區，就是加拿大、美國，他們已經不說“It's raining cats and dogs.”了，他們覺得很過時。年輕人如果想表達傾盆大雨的意思，就說“It's pouring.”，就像上帝在倒水一樣。

OK，so for today's bonus. If it's pouring rain outside，often we'll say，“Don't go outside. You're gonna get soaked!”

What does “soaked” mean?“Wet” means you have a little bit of water on you；“soaked” means totally covered in water. Your entire body is just covered in water，to be soaked.

OK，今天的bonus中，我們要學習的其實是兩個詞：如果你的衣服濕了，你可以說“we”；但是如果你濕透了，就叫“soaked”，get soaked。
