Day 16 “白頭發(fā)”不是white hair那是什么？

D: White hair? No，he has gray hair.

All right，聽完今天的對(duì)話之后，我們要學(xué)習(xí)的是“白頭發(fā)”的英文表達(dá)。如果我們直接翻譯“白頭發(fā)”的話就是“white hair”，但是呢：

This is a really easy explanation. In Chinese you say when a person gets older，they have “white hair”. In English we have “gray hair”. So you say “white hair”，we say “gray hair”.

這個(gè)其實(shí)還蠻有趣的。我們叫“白頭發(fā)”，然后他們叫“灰頭發(fā)”，即“gray hair”。同時(shí)還有另外一個(gè)有意思的事情，就是外國(guó)人喝的紅茶，他們不叫“red tea”，而叫“black tea”。
