幾根枯樹枝抵在地下，上面還冒著濃濃的煙。烏鴉悲鳴著，更增添了這悲傷的色彩。我向遠處望去，那里住著妹妹，應該沒著火吧？可回答我的卻是一陣濃煙。我鼻子一酸，眼淚落了下來。這是起火后，我第一次哭。

我是一只考拉，和其他成千上萬的考拉一樣，安靜地生活在澳大利亞這片森林里。本以為會平平淡淡地度過一生，每天睡夠二十個小時，隨便一伸手就可以拿到桉樹葉，不愁吃喝，不愁生計。偶爾森林中會有人類到訪，他們見到我都是喜愛的眼神，給我拍照，給我寵愛。我那一身柔順的灰毛更是我的驕傲，誰見了都想摸一摸。

誰知一場突如其來的大火，徹底地毀了我的生活。

我永遠忘不了那一天！一個平常得不能再平常的早晨，太陽照常從東方升起。當我被濃煙熏醒時，火舌已放肆地舔著我的皮毛。我三步并作兩步地跳下樹，用粗短的四肢在地下狂奔，只恨沒再長兩條腿。火這只怪獸太可怕了，它永不知疲憊，一路緊緊地跟在我身后。

腳掌跑掉了皮，我沒有任何感覺；火逼近我的皮毛，我也只能默默忍受。火啊，為何你永遠不知足？你已奪去了父親、母親、哥哥的性命，為何還是不放過我？

想著想著，頭頂“吱呀”一聲，一根帶著火的枝條掉了下來，這聲音，仿佛是魔鬼的笑聲，令人一驚。我遲鈍地停了一下，火棍已順著我的后背落了下去，一大片光滑明亮的灰毛瞬間變得焦黑。我命令自己站起來，努力忍回去快要流出來的眼淚?；鹩周f了上來，我一驚，自動忽略了背后的疼，馬上又要上路，卻驚覺四周都已被火海包圍，炙熱的火舌正在飛快靠近我。我閉上眼睛，準備等死。

迎接我的不是飄飛的火苗，而是冰冷的雨滴。我跳了起來，下雨了？天哪，下雨了！

我顧不上驚喜，撒開腿就往外跑。凄冷的雨滴澆滅了火，卻也澆滅了我對生活的期望。

我跑出了火海，望著森林，那里再也沒有歡叫的鳥兒了。我瞪著濃煙，現在，我一個親人也沒有了。想著四個月前我們一家五口的歡樂生活，我的淚流得更厲害了。

那一天，我算是逃脫了，但是從此我的生活沒有了安寧，水源成了很大的問題，每天都在找水。還有，過去我隨便睡覺，現在我隨時都在饑餓和驚恐中度過。上一次找到溪水時，我看到了自己的倒影，長期睡眠不足讓我已經長出了黑眼圈，和中國的熊貓有一拼了。好羨慕熊貓，都是“國寶”，但他們那里沒有大火。

火啊火，你何時才能知足？！我一步一挪地向南邊走去，據說，那里有?！?

The Confession of a Koala

A few dead trees stood feebly on the ground,with thick smoke rising from them. The crow sang sadly in this disastrous scene. I looked at the distance where my sister lived. Should that be on fire?I got no answer but only the smoke. My tears streamed down from my eyes. It was the first time I cried since the fire began.

I am a koala,like thousands of other koalas,living quietly in this forest in Australia. I thought I would spend my life peacefully,sleeping sound for 20 hours a day,and getting at my hand eucalyptus leaves whenever I wanted. I thought I wouldn't need to worry about anything. Occasionally there were human visits in the forest. They looked at me with loving eyes,took pictures of me,and petted me. I took pride in my soft grey hair,which everyone wanted to touch.

God knows my life would be ruined by a sudden spread of wildfire.

I would never forget that day! On that ordinary morning,the sun rose from the east as usual. When I was awakened by smoke,the tongues of flame were licking my fur,I jumped down the tree hurriedly,and started running with short limbs. How I hoped I could have two extra legs! The fire monster was so formidable that he never knew tiredness. He was just following me closely.

The skin on soles of my feet broke,but I had no feeling; the fire approached my fur,and I could only endure it silently. Fire,why were you never satisfied?You had already taken the lives of my father,my mother and my brother. Why didn't you just spare my life!

As I was thinking,with a crack sound,a branch with fire fell down. The sound startled me as if it was the devil's laughter. I paused dully,and the burning stick was rolling down on my back and instantly burnt my large smooth,bright grey hair,which immediately turning into black. I forced myself to stand up and tried my best to hold back the tears that were almost coming out. As the fire sprang up again,I instinctively ignored the pain on my back and started running at once. But I found myself completely surrounded by flames which were approaching me quickly. I gave up my resistance,closed my eyes and waited to die.

What greeted me was not the flying flame,but the cold raindrops. I jumped for joy. Oh my God,it was raining!

I ran immediately without even time to feel surprised. The cold raindrops not only put out the fire but also cooled my expectation on life.

I ran out of the fire and looked at the forest,where there were no more singing birds. I stared at the smoke,thinking about I have no family now. Four months ago,we five had such a happy life! My tears ran out even more.

Fortunately,I managed to escape,but since then,my life had no peace. Water became a big problem. Every day I was seeking for water. Also,I used to sleep at ease,and now I've been enduring hunger and panic at any time. The last time I found the stream,I saw my reflection. Lack of sleep for a long time brought me dark circles and made me look like Chinese pandas. I envy pandas. Both of us are "national treasures",but they have no fire around them.

Fire,when will this be enough for you?I drag myself,step by step,to the south coast. People say there is the sea.

寫作歷程

上午剛期末考完試，下午就趕到了冬令營。這次我不但要努力上七天課程，還要做老師的快板小助教，好緊張啊！

課余時間終于可以聽媽媽的“知識脫口秀”了，其中一期我印象深刻，講澳大利亞維多利亞州和新南威爾士州山火肆虐，四個月還沒有熄滅。聽說不少考拉在大火中死去，好難過??！聽完我就寫了篇想象文，和大家分享！
