You may be thinking "Oh my gosh, this interface looks confusing. There are so many different options; how am I going to learn how to set up and implement in this complex ERP?" Well, that's the focus of this chapter. We want to distill the concept in NetSuite into easy-to-use steps that we can leverage to implement new features that will also give us the opportunity to learn about some of the standard processes that NetSuite uses for common transactions.

In this chapter, I will introduce my methodology for implementing features and we will set up and configure new features.

In this chapter, we will cover the following:

• Enabling the feature
• Configuring the defaults and preferences
• Setting up the building blocks of the transaction
• Creating transactions on the transaction menu

In this chapter, we will focus on NetSuite's main processes of procure-to-pay and order-to-cash as our use cases in order to configure them for use.
