Viewing site contents
Now that you've learned how to log in and find your way around a Plone web site, you're ready to start creating web pages. A Page in Plone is one of the most fundamental content types. Think of a page as a blank canvas to which you can add text, images, links, and other media. There are other, more specialized content types to choose from, but pages often comprise the bulk of the content of a Plone web site.
If you've just logged in to your site, click on the Contents tab to take a look at the site contents. You should get comfortable with using the Contents tab to find things until you've learned how to build the navigation structure of your site.
You should see a screen that looks something like the following screenshot:

This view shows you some basic information about the contents of your web site. As you are working with a fresh copy of Plone, you will see a few content objects that were automatically created when you installed Plone. There are a few folders here, and one page, called Welcome to Plone, which is the page you see after logging in. Let's look at how to create a new page of your own.
