Foreword
This code was revised from GB 50227-95 Code for Design of Installation of Shunt Capacitors by Southwest Electric Power Design Institute of China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation and interests concerned in response to the Notice on Printing and Distributing the Preparation and Revision Plan of National Standards for Engineering Construction 2004(Jianbiao[2004]No.67)issued by the former Ministry of Construction.
The revisions of this code mainly involve the following:
1.The applicable scope of this code is extended from substation at 220kV and below to those at 750kV and below;
2.For determination of the capacity of capacitor sub-banks,restrictions are imposed on the increase of sub-bank capacity and the reduction in the number of banks;
3.From the point of view of safety,the following provisions are supplemented:the application of foursurge arrester wiring mode is restricted,the parallel capacity in a series section is limited,and the requirements on selection of indoor reactors are stipulated;
4.Provisions on the switching sequence of a capacitor bank with two reactance ratios are added;
5.The installation dimensions of capacitors on capacitor racks are determined based on temperature rise test results on all-film capacitors that have different unit capacities and are installed at different intervals;
6.Provisions on anti-magnetic interference distance of dry-type air-core reactors are added.
In this code,the articles in bold are compulsory regulations and must be enforced strictly.
This code is administered by Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People's Republic of China which will be responsible for the interpretation of compulsory regulations.The daily management of it is the responsibility of the Standardization Center of China Electricity Council.And Southwest Electric Power Design Institute of China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation is responsible for the interpretation of specific technical issues therein.During the implementation of the code,the interests concerned are expected to seriously summarize the experiences and collect the relevant information based on the project practices and at any time refer any comments and suggestions to Southwest Electric Power Design Institute of China Power Engineering Consulting Group Corporation at the address:No.18,Dongfeng Road,Chengdu City,Sichuan Province,Postcode:610021,for reference in the future revision of the code.
