5　Main Mechanical Equipment of Rolling Mill Train

5.1　General Requirement

5.1.1　This chapter is applicable to the mechanical equipment installation of strip mill，strip tandem mill，skin pass mill，pipes tandem mill，high speed wire mill，heavy and medium plate mill，multi-roll mill and section mill.

5.1.2　The classification for installation accuracy of main mechanical equipment of rolling mill trains shall be determined according to the following conditions:

1　Required accuracy degree of the rolled metals.

2　Impact degree on the product quality arising from installation error.

3　Installation accuracy required by the equipment performance.

4　Equipment fabrication accuracy degree.

5　Classification of installation accuracy for main mechanical equipment of rolling mill train shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 5.1.2.
