（15）所有格形容詞（Possessive adjectives）

人稱代詞的所有格的兩種用法：

1. 放在名詞之前作為形容詞用者，如 my、（thy）、his、her、its、our、your、their；My book、her book、our books。

2. 作為代詞用者，如 mine、（thine）、his、hers、its、ours、yours、theirs（既系代詞，故其后不用名詞）。

例：a. This book is mine. That house is theirs.

b. My horse and yours（= your horse）are both tired.

c. That horse of yours is tired.

注意：所有格不能與 a（n）、the、some、any、no、this、that 等詞連用，故有（c）例的表現(xiàn)法，因 That your horse 不是英語的語法，必須將所有格放在名詞之后，而用 of 與名詞相聯(lián)結(jié)，但此時(shí)的所有格，系一種代詞了。
