?What happens if的句型是問“我若……時(shí)，情況會(huì)是如何？”，happens（發(fā)生）雖是現(xiàn)在時(shí)，但含意是未來式，只有if的條件成立，事情才happen。這個(gè)句型有時(shí)候可以省略成What if。

?What happened?“怎么了？”，這句話與前句的形式很像，但意義完全不同。它是在別人看起來有些不對(duì)勁，比如沮喪、哭泣、憂慮的時(shí)候，你表示關(guān)心時(shí)問的話，所以happen用過去時(shí)，因?yàn)楸厝灰呀?jīng)有事發(fā)生了。
