白雪公主 Snow White

在一個(gè)冬天，一位王后生下了一個(gè)小公主。這位公主像雪一樣純潔美麗，因此大家都叫她白雪公主。

Once upon a time in winter, a queen gave birth to a baby girl. The baby girl was white as snow, and she was called Little Snow White.

但沒(méi)過(guò)多久，王后生病去世了。國(guó)王又娶了一位新王后，這位新王后雖然長(zhǎng)得很美麗，但心腸卻很惡毒。

But soon after the child was born, the queen passed away. The king married again. His new wife was a beautiful, but cruel, woman.

新王后有一面神奇的魔鏡。她每天都會(huì)問(wèn)魔鏡：“魔鏡，魔鏡，誰(shuí)是世界上最美麗的女人？”

魔鏡總是回答她：“您是全世界最美麗的女人。”

The new queen had a magic mirror. Each day, the queen looked in the mirror and asked.

“Mirror, mirror, who is the fairest of them all?”

“You are the fairest of them all,” replied the mirror.

時(shí)光飛逝，白雪公主長(zhǎng)大了，成為一個(gè)漂亮的女孩。有一天，當(dāng)新王后再問(wèn)魔鏡同樣的問(wèn)題時(shí)，魔鏡卻回答說(shuō)：“白雪公主是全世界最美麗的女人。”

憤怒的王后叫來(lái)獵人，命令他去殺掉白雪公主。

Years passed and Snow White grew into a stunningly beautiful young girl. One day, when the new queen asked the mirror her usual question, the mirror spoke.“Snow White is the fairest of them all.”

The angry queen summoned her huntsman to kill Snow White.

獵人很善良，他非常同情白雪公主。

“快跑吧，白雪公主，”他說(shuō)，“快跑，不要回頭。”

白雪公主逃到森林深處，發(fā)現(xiàn)了一間小木屋。

The huntsman was a kind man, and he took pity on the girl.

“Run, Snow White,” he said.“Run and don't look back.”

Snow White ran deep into the forest. Until she came upon a cottage.

小木屋里住著七個(gè)小矮人。小矮人們認(rèn)真地聽(tīng)白雪公主講述了自己的經(jīng)歷。

“留在我們這里吧，”他們說(shuō)，“你在這兒會(huì)很安全的，但你一定要記住，不要給陌生人開(kāi)門(mén)。”

There lived seven dwarves. They listened quietly as Snow White told them her story.

“Stay with us,” they said.“You will be safe here, but remember never to answer to strangers at the door.”

新王后知道這件事后，生氣極了。她喬裝成老太太，提著一籃子毒蘋(píng)果，來(lái)到了森林里。

The new queen became very angry when she learned about what happened. She transformed herself into an old woman. Then, she filled a basket with poisoned apples and set off into the forest.

“咚咚。”王后來(lái)到小屋的門(mén)前。

“親愛(ài)的，想要一個(gè)多汁的蘋(píng)果嗎？”

白雪公主忘記了小矮人的警告。她拿了一個(gè)蘋(píng)果，咬了一口。

Tap-tap, went the queen on the door of the cottage.

“A juicy, ripe apple for you, my dear?”

Snow White forgot the dwarves' warning. She got an apple, and took a bite.

小矮人回到家時(shí)，發(fā)現(xiàn)白雪公主已經(jīng)倒在了地上。他們傷心地哭著，決定把白雪公主安葬在森林里，好讓鳥(niǎo)兒和動(dòng)物可以來(lái)看她。

When the dwarves came home, they found Snow White lying on the floor, as if she were dead. They cried for their lost friend, and decided to lay her in the forest, where the birds and the animals can see her.

一位年輕的王子經(jīng)過(guò)這里，他很同情白雪公主，想幫助小矮人們安葬她。他們一不小心把水晶棺材撞在了樹(shù)上，沒(méi)想到，白雪公主喉嚨里的毒蘋(píng)果被震了出來(lái)。

A prince came riding through the forest. He took pity on Snow White and wanted to help the dwarves. Together, they slammed the crystal coffin into the tree, and unexpectedly, the poisonous apple in Snow White's throat was shaken out.

白雪公主和王子愛(ài)上了彼此，他們很快就結(jié)婚了。至于邪惡的王后，她聽(tīng)說(shuō)白雪公主還活著后，便氣得生了一場(chǎng)大病，不久便死掉了。

The prince and Snow White fell in love and were soon married. As for the wicked queen, on hearing that Snow White was still alive, she became so angry that she fell ill and then died.
