Time for action - adding basic camera movement
Now let's do some basic camera movement. The camera will be covered in more detail in a future chapter, but this will give you a basic idea of creation and operation:
- Click on the Stage tab, then the Camera button.
- Click on the Add button in the Camera section on the right side menu panel.
- You now have Camera01 created and selected as evidenced by the camera controls on the right menu panel.
- Click on the key frame at frame 1000 or type 1000 into the Current Frame box.
- Click on the Box prop so the camera will use it as a pivot point.
- Click on the Orbit/Roll tool on the top toolbar and rotate the camera to the left, right, or whatever direction you desire.
- Now go to frame 2000 with Camera01 selected and move the camera again such as using the pan tool to place the camera in the approximate center of the screen.
What just happened?
We have now animated a camera! Save your project and press play to review what we have accomplished.
