Time for action - can't be cool without shades!
Time to get these characters some sunshades:
- Click on the Dylan character or select Dylan in the Content Manager in the left panel.
- Click on the Accessories button under the main tabs at the top.
- In the left panel of Content Manager, double-click or drag-and-drop Glasses 01 onto Dylan.
- Using the up and down arrows adjust the Y and Z axis. Set the X scale to 120:
- Repeat the previous steps for the female character.
What just happened?
We loaded the glasses onto the first character by selecting the character and then adding the accessory which automatically loaded into place for us. We then used the available controls to adjust how the glasses fit on the character's face. The prop was scaled up to 120 on the X axis to make the glasses wider.
Tip
Center that prop pivot before attachment
For a prop as an accessory to rotate properly around its center pivot, the prop will need to be centered using the Center button in the Pivot section before being attached as an accessory. This will make the pivot point closer to the center of the accessory and provide easier rotation and alignment of some accessories.
The following image shows the Pivot options in the Modify panel when a prop is selected:
