Chapter 3. Adding Documents and Handouts
Your new Moodle course is configured and ready to have your teaching materials uploaded onto it. Now let's make a start! In this chapter, we will cover:
- Uploading files to Moodle and how to organize them effectively
- How to present documents and handouts to students
- Uploading images and how to include them in any text
- Understanding which types of file are best to include in a course, and how to create them. We will also be learning how to convert departmental documentation into a wiki, which you and your colleagues can work on collaboratively.
By the end of this chapter, you will have populated your course with static content ready for your students to access. Clearly, our aim is to create more appealing and interactive courses and my describing resources as "static content" may not sound that inspiring but, as you'll see in this and subsequent chapters, there's plenty we can do with our "static" resources to make them engaging and entertaining when we convert to Moodle.
