Activating Analytical Accounting

Now that the posting options have been configured as required by Analytical Accounting, the module can now be activated for use.

To activate Analytical Accounting, follow these steps:

Ensure there is a good backup of both the system (which is usually called Dynamics) and company database.
Log on to Microsoft Dynamics GP using the sa or dynsa user accounts.
Open the Analytical Accounting Setup Wizard window in Dynamics GP by selecting Administration from the navigation pane on the left, and then clicking on Setup in the area page under Setup | Company | Analytical Accounting.
Mark the Activate Analytical Accounting checkbox, and click on Next.
A listbox will be displayed showing the tasks that will be processed. Click on Finish to proceed.
Once complete, click on OK to close the Analytical Accounting Setup Wizard.
