Formatting reports
If you view the currency values in the report output from the previous recipes, the currency values are not aligned. In this recipe, these formatting changes will be made on the text control, to align properly.
How to do it…
Reports can be formatted as follows:
- To set the alignment, modify the Text Align property to Left and the Format string property must be set to Currency.
- For the AmountMST field in the table data region, modify the Format String property and set it as Currency. The revised report appears as follows:
How it works…
The format string has a set of predefined formats that can be applied on a specific field such as Date, and Number.
Tip
If you have set up custom values on different properties and want to set the original value, then just right-click on the property field and choose Reset. This will reset the selected property to its default value.
