Pradeesh Parameswaran started working on computers and programming right from the age of 10. He wrote the first program for PalmOS and published to Handango. He is a geek and loves explaining and helping people with their computer problems. Currently, he blogs about tech-related stuff and provides how-to information in his blog at prasys.info. Sergei Petrunia has been working on MariaDB since 2009. He has implemented features such as semijoin subquery optimizations, SHOW EXPLAIN, Cassandra storage engine, table elimination, and numerous smaller improvements. Prior to MariaDB, he was a member of the MySQL development team at MySQL AB and Sun Microsystems.
