Speakers

Immersive experience without sound is incomplete. The HoloLens device has two built-in speakers attached just above the position of your ears. They are placed in a position such that they seem to be floating in front of your ears, and thus it doesn’t block out the sound of the real world, unlike headphones. This is the beauty of having these speakers. The sounds produced by these speakers are floating surround sound, and give your ears the feel of hearing things in real 3D Space. This is what is called Spatial Sounds, which means that sound is adjusted for both ears such that sounds appear to be originating from a certain direction and distance.

There are volume buttons on the upper side of the device, which can be used to control the volume directly from the device itself.
