Summary
Through this chapter, you learnt about the essential computing mechanisms including centralized, parallel, and distributed computing. You also learnt about the types of parallel systems and their efficiency through Amdahl’s law. We finished this chapter with an understanding of distributed computing, and its strengths and the aspects that should be considered in designing a distributed system.
