Summary

In this chapter, we described serverless computing and learned about the use cases in which it can be useful. We set up an AWS Account, created a skeleton Gradle project for our book, and wrote a basic library. Finally, we implemented a very basic Lambda function on top of our work and deployed and executed it.

In the next chapter, we will learn how to use Cloudformation for a more automatized deployment process and add the dependency injection framework to our project, which will orchestrate the different services we will implement in our project.
