Configuring authentication

In the domain mode configuration, authentication can be defined at various levels:

• Providing authentication credentials to manage the domain
• Providing authentication credentials to restrict communications with the domain controller only to authenticated hosts.
• Applications user authentication

In this section, we will handle both management users and host to domain authentications. Application authentication and security is handled later in the chapter.
