Orchestrator

The next term is Orchestrator. An Orchestrator is a management tool for Docker clusters and Docker hosts, and it enables users to manage their images, containers, and hosts through a GUI.

The Orchestrator allows users to administer container networking, configurations, load balancing, service discovery, high availability, host management, and is responsible for running, distributing, scaling, and healing workloads across a collection of nodes.

When you create your Azure Container Service cluster, you also decide about the Orchestrator you want to use.

The following Orchestrators are currently available:

• Kubernetes
• Docker Swarm
