Getting ready

To work with the Log Analytics query language, you can write search queries from the log search page in Azure Log Analytics. Alternatively, you can use the Analytics portal to write search queries. The Analytics portal is a web tool created expressly for writing and executing Log Analytics queries. It offers a unique environment for working with both simple and advanced analytics, advanced diagnostics, and feature-rich visualizations.
