Setting up the NameNode

Make the following changes to the configuration file etc/hadoop/core-site.xml:

Make the following changes to the configuration file etc/hadoop/hdfs-site.xml:

<configuration>
    <property>
        <name>dfs.replication</name>
        <value>1</value>
    </property>
        <name>dfs.name.dir</name>
        <value><YOURDIRECTORY>/hadoop-3.1.0/dfs/name</value>
    </property>
</configuration>
