Execution

This is where all the project work happens and when we find out how well we'd planned. Execution is where the deliverables are produced. It's where we acquire additional team members, as needed, and develop and manage our team of individuals. This is also the process group where we are auditing or assuring the quality of our process to produce the product, service, or result. This is also the point where we are collecting work-performance data from our resources, which lets us know what's really going on, in real time. We can compare that to the baselines and see whether there is a discrepancy between planned and actual. If there is a variance outside of our tolerance levels that needs to be corrected, this is where we process a change request and visit the CCB.
