The Rockwell Automation Compatibility and Download Center

Rockwell has released an online tool that makes it much easier to find and download compatible firmware for your ControlLogix controller. Using the Rockwell website, you can enter in a product model number and search for all the compatible firmware versions that are supported for it. The Compatibility Center also provides details about the specific changes between each version of firmware, including the following:

• Features
• Alarms and events
• Redundancy
• Safety
• Security

The Rockwell Automation Compatibility and Download Center can be accessed from https://compatibility.rockwellautomation.com.

For example, if I want to check the compatible firmware versions with my 1756 L81E, I can enter the model number into the search bar.
