How is it used?

單獨(dú)用few時(shí)表示“很少的人或物”。few和a few有時(shí)指的人或物數(shù)目雖然一樣，但few帶更強(qiáng)烈的否定意思。

few與可數(shù)名詞連用。

? Few of the tourists understood what the guide was saying.

沒有幾個(gè)遊客明白該導(dǎo)遊在說(shuō)甚麼。

? Jack makes up lots of stories but writes few of them down.

傑克編了很多故事，但寫下來(lái)的不多。
