Keeping It Real: It may seem like 'everything plus the kitchen sink' was thrown in. In a way, it was. SOA is a broad architecture and each scenario is a bit different. The idea here was to show some of the options available. At a minimum, you will require the Oracle Legacy Adapters and a Java-based interface to call the legacy artifacts. Oracle Enterprise Grid Control, Oracle BAM, Oracle BPEL, and Oracle ESB are the next most common components. Next in line comes Oracle Web Services Manager and WS-Security. Most Legacy SOA Integration solutions don't require a Web Services Registry (UDDI register) like Oracle Service Registry as there are not enough services to merit this, and no one really does dymanic/runtime look up of Web services today.
