Chu Songs to be Heard Everywhere

Towards the end of the Qin Dynasty there where two opposing powers.Liu Bang was the leader of one army and Xiang Yu was the leader of the other，both of whom wanted to be King.The two sides fought until they could not sustain anymore；ventually a mutual agreement was made whereby the country was split up by a boundary.Neithet side was to invade each other.However，Liu Bang and his army invaded Xiang Yu's land during when it was least expected．Both sides fought for days by the border until their food supply had run out.Even though Xiang Yu's army had been greatly destroyed they still strongly guarded the border.One night Xiang Yu and his army heard the singing of Chu songs everywhere from Liu Bang's army.Xiang Yu assumed that Liu Bang had gained victory of Chu State.Xiang Yu lead his remaining army in attempt to escape，only to be stopped by a riverbank with Liu Bang's army chasing them from behind.Xiang Yu real．ized they could no longer escape．He and his army committed suicide by throwing themselves into the river.In reality Liu Bang did not gain victory of Chu land and he allocated those in his army who could sing Chu songs to surround Xiang Yu's land to make them think they had won Chu land．

People use the term“Chu songs to be heard everywhere” when they find themselves in difficult and inescapable situations.
