Acknowledgments
Writing a book is a big project involving many risks and uncertainties. In any project, whether designing software, constructing buildings, shooting reality shows, or catching criminal masterminds (project managers), you have to rely on help from others to move it to a successful conclusion. We would like to thank our friends and colleagues who helped us by providing ideas, suggestions, and reviews: David Hillson, Roger Webster, Jason McVean, Igor Linkov, Linda Rising, and Doug MacDonald. We were lucky to come across a very talented artist, Alex Alexeev, who produced the cartoons you will find in this book. Special thanks to Myra Strauss, Benjamin Nussbaum, and Peter Whitten, the highly professional staff and editors at Management Concept who guided us through the complex process of putting an idea to paper all the way through to the final published work.
Finally, we would like to thank our wives Eugenia and Ronda, for without their unstinting support, insightful advice, and inspiration, this project would have never come to fruition.
