Foreword

According to the plan to formulate or revise technical standards of the Ministry of Water Resources of the Peopled Republic of China and SL 1—2002 Compilation Requirements for Technical Standards of Ministry of Water Resources, SL 168—96 Code for Acceptance of Small Hydropower Station Construction (hereinafter referred to as the previous code) is revised.

This code comprises 9 chapters, 12 sections, 113 articles and 19 appendices with the main contents as follows：

—Classification of acceptance.

—Supervision and management.

—Organizing and procedures for different types of acceptances.

—Essential conditions for different types of acceptances.

—Main contents and output files of all acceptances.

—Preparation of required reports and documents of acceptance.

—Handover of approved projects and treatment of remaining problems.

Revisions to the previous code are as follows：

—Adjusting the applicable scope of the code.

—Reclassifying acceptance names.

—Adjusting the provisions of the management and organizing of acceptance.

—Adjusting the structure of the code.

—Adding the following chapters：

—Supervision and management of acceptance.

—Acceptance of sub - unit projects.

—Acceptance of unit projects.

—Acceptance of contracted project completion.

—Acceptance of special item.

—Project handover and handling of leftover problems.

—Adjusting the contents of stage acceptance and addition of the previous acceptance of turbine-generator startup to the stage acceptance.

—Adjusting the contents of completion acceptance, cancellation of preliminary acceptance and addition of self-inspection for completion acceptance and technical pre-acceptance of completion.

In this code, Article 1.0.6 is compulsory provision, marked in bold type, and must be enforced strictly.

This code replaces the previous version SL 168—96.

This code is approved by the Ministry of Water Resources (MWR) of the People's Republic of China.

This code is interpreted by Bureau of Rural Hydropower and Electrification Development of MWR.

This code is chiefly drafted by National Research Institute for Rural Electrification of MWR.

This code is jointly drafted by Sichuan Local Electricity Bureau, and Zhejiang Hydropower Administration Center.
