There be 句型

1.There be 結構是英語中陳述事物客觀存的常用句型，表示“有”，其確切含義是“存在”, 表達“某個地方或某個時間存在什么事物或人”。在這個句型中，be 動詞的單復數要遵循就近一致原則。還要注意there be不要錯用成there have/has。

例There is a famous Italian restaurant across the street. 穿過街道，有一家著名的意大利餐館。

There is a table, four chairs and a small bed in the room. 房間里有一張桌子，四把椅子和一張小床。

2.There be 句型也可以和這樣一些動詞結構連用：be going to, seem to, appear to, used to, be likely to, happen to...

例There is going to be a meeting tonight. 今天晚上有個會議。

There happened to be a bus nearby. 碰巧附近有輛公交車。

There appears to have been a nasty accident. 似乎發生了一起嚴重事故。

考Laura was away in Paris for over a week. When she got home, there was a pile of mail ______ for her.（遼寧高考）

選C。句意：勞拉去巴黎有一個多星期，當她回來的時候，有一堆郵件等待她處理。此題there be句型的主語mail后接后置定語，wait與mail間為主動關系，且wait這個動作正在進行，故選C。

3.There be 結構中be動詞也可以用live, stand, come, go等動詞代替，但含義隨動詞變化而稍有變化。

例Once upon a time there lived a king in China. 從前，中國有一個國王。

There once stood a tall building on the square. 廣場上曾經矗立著一棟高樓。

4.There is (no)... left (for sth./doing sth.) 剩下（沒剩下）……（來干某事）

例There is no time left. 沒有時間了。

There is a little money left for food/ buying food. 還剩下一點錢來買食品。

5.There is no need (for sb.) to do... 沒有必要做……

例We have plenty of time. There is no need to hurry. 我們有很多時間，沒有必要這么著急。

6.There is some/no doubt (about/of或 that/whether從句) （沒）有疑問

例There is no doubt about his success. 毫無疑問，他一定會成功。

There is no doubt that her death is related to politics. 她的死無疑和政治有關。

There is some doubt whether he will come on time. 說不準他是否會按時來。

7.There is something/nothing wrong with... 有（沒有）故障

例There is something wrong with my bike. 我的自行車出故障了。
